Raku Glaze Colors

Because of the unique nature of the raku process and the fact that each piece is individually glazed, there can be variations in the outcome of these raku glaze colors. Each one of my glaze selections has its own nature. What follows is an attempt to inform you of the particulars of each of the raku glaze colors in this collection.

 

amethyst

Amethyst
A fairly consistent glaze sometimes it will blush to a lighter shade.

aqua

Aqua
Consistent glaze will have some variations at times.

Aqua/Gray
Aqua on top, gray on bottom. Only available on urns.

coffee
Coffee
Fluid glaze will blush metallic black at times, and can be slightly mottled and tortoise shell like.
eggplant/gray

Eggplant/Gray
Eggplant on top gray on bottom, only available on urns.

Emerald

Emerald
Fluid glaze, transparent, slightly mottled at times

Gun metal blue

Gun metal blue
Opaque to transparent, very subtle glaze.

lapis

Lapis
Fluid, transparent, slightly mottled at times.

Lime

Lime
Opaque blush lighter green

Orange/Gray

Orange/Gray
Only on Urns

yellow

Pea Green
Soft, natural green. Transparent to opaque.

Persimmon

Persimmon
Opaque, blush to yellow side at times.

red

Red
Transparent to opaque.

red/gray

Only on urns.

rose

Rose
Opaque, blush to light pink at times.

Sage

Gray green.

Turquoise Green and Blue

Turquoise Green and Blue
Opaque. Turquoise blue goes to the blue side and the turquoise green to the green side

Classic natural

Transparent to opaque, leans to chartreuse side.
